How do you verify a Chinese supplier?
We check the manufacturer's identity, production capability, relevant approvals and project references before award. Factory audits, sample evaluation and technical clarification are matched to the risk of the order. An agreed inspection and test plan then verifies production rather than relying on a supplier's brochure alone.
What are the minimum order quantities?
MOQs depend on the product, material, manufacturer and whether tooling or a dedicated production run is required. Share your quantity and specification; we confirm the supplier's minimum and explore suitable alternatives. Custom fabrication and spare-part enquiries are assessed individually.
What lead times should I expect?
Lead times are confirmed after technical review and supplier quotation. Stock equipment, made-to-order components and custom fabrication have different schedules. Drawing approvals, material availability, inspection hold points and transport time are included in the delivery plan; we do not promise a universal lead time.
How are payment terms agreed?
Payment terms are negotiated for each order and recorded in the contract. They depend on order value, supplier requirements, production milestones and buyer arrangements. Inspection and shipment release requirements are agreed before placement so the payment schedule and acceptance process are clear.
What happens if there is a quality dispute?
We document the issue against the agreed specification, inspection records and acceptance criteria, then coordinate corrective action with the manufacturer and any appointed inspector. Pre-shipment findings are addressed before release. After delivery, we support claims with the traceability and shipment records; remedies follow the contract.
Can you manage shipping and advise on Incoterms?
Yes. We provide Incoterms guidance, coordinate ocean, air or rail freight, and prepare export documentation. Customs clearance support and delivery to site are included where agreed. Freight costs, insurance, risk transfer and importer responsibilities are clarified in the quotation and contract.
Which certifications and inspection documents can you arrange?
Meritus is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Product and manufacturer approvals are checked for the specific order; they are not automatically certifications held by Meritus. Depending on your specification, the documentation package can include EN 10204 3.1/3.2 material certificates, NDT reports, inspection records and third-party coordination with BV, DNV, TÜV or CCS.
