Preparation Requirements
Confirm the equipment interface, pressure rating, coating/solvent compatibility and required PPE before selecting or fitting consumables.
Installation Steps
- 1Isolate and depressurize blast pots, air lines and spray pumps before replacing parts
- 2Match nozzles, hoses, couplings, seals and tips to the equipment specification
- 3Inspect and secure couplings, guards, deadman controls and hose restraints
- 4Check breathing-air quality, ventilation and respiratory protection against the site risk assessment
- 5Follow the equipment manufacturer's approved leak checks and commissioning procedure
- 6Keep inspection consumables within their calibration, storage and shelf-life requirements

Appropriate hand tools, specified torque tools and equipment-specific inspection aids.
Safety Requirements
High-pressure spray can cause injection injury. Never check leaks by hand or defeat guards and deadman controls. Control dust, solvent vapour, ignition sources and static discharge; follow SDS and site procedures.
