Preparation Requirements
Review approved drawings, pressure–temperature ratings, fluid compatibility, inspection records and site permits. Isolate, depressurize, drain and verify zero stored energy before opening any pressure boundary.
Installation Steps
- 1Verify material identity, dimensions and pressure rating against the approved order
- 2Inspect sealing faces, screens, cushions or closure parts as applicable
- 3Align piping without forcing connections or introducing unapproved loads
- 4Fit the specified new seals and tighten fasteners in the approved sequence to the specified torque
- 5Check vents, drains, differential-pressure tappings and safety interlocks where fitted
- 6Complete the approved leak/pressure-test and commissioning procedure
- 7Record installation results and hand over maintenance instructions
Required Tools & Equipment
Certified lifting equipment, calibrated torque tools and project-approved alignment and pressure-test equipment.
Safety Requirements
Never loosen a connector or open a closure under pressure. Follow isolation, depressurization, gas testing and permit-to-work procedures.
